CLAUDIA RIERA
The actress presents a new series on Catalan TV3 TV3 that can be viewed worldwide on the NETFLIX streaming platform.
The actress, with just 23 years old, has already participated in numerous shorts, such as 'The Bride' and 'Desperta' by Alfons Casal, the play 'Alba' presented at the TNC written by Marc Artigau, with actors such as Lluís Marco and Montse Guallar and directed by Raimon Molins, and the new television series 'Les de l'Hockey'. In addition, she has just returned from the filming of the Offering film directed by Ventura Durall with actors Alex Brendemühl, Josh Climent, Anna Alarcón, Verónica Echegui and Pablo Molinero.
Born in Manresa, he moved to Andorra for a year. She studied at the Lycée Comte de Foix and, at the end, she went to study Law at the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole. When she saw that the intercepts were his passion, she left to study 'Central de Teatre' in Manresa for a year. He is currently a 3rd year student at the Institut del Teatre.
When did your passion for interpretation begin?
It is not something that I discovered as such, it emerged from a selection of extracurricular activities that I was doing. They joined me as a theatre among other activities. I discovered that I preferred the performing arts above the rest. Acting made me feel at home, it made me feel connected to the public. At age 18 I went to study in France but it was not what I liked, I always wanted to make castings and find artistic projects; I saw that it was not for me. So, seeing that I wanted to do the theatre I did not hesitate to leave everything and fight for my dreams. To want is power and you have power.
What are your benchmarks when it comes to acting?
As much in camera as in theatre, an actor must form, he needs tools to work and the more he has, the more he will be able to choose on the character to prepare. The more resources, the more sincerity and the truth to explain it.

“You always have to keep in mind that you have to analyze the text, work the body, lines and background that will end up with the directors as well. They will guide you and guide where you tell the story. The world of interpretation is teamwork, one does not exist without the other."
What are your future goals?
The world of interpretation is very chaotic. This past year I have been able to participate both in cinema, as well as in series and I have also performed at the TNC (National Theater of Catalonia). I was completely focused on my training at the Institut del Teatre, which I had to freeze due to work incompatibility. However, I know that what I want is to train and refresh myself in order to go further.

How do you live the theatrical scene in Andorra?
Andorra's problem is that it is a small country, where there can not be a huge theatrical season.
We are few people and, in disrepute, not everyone is reading the theater.
In addition, the possibility of training in the professional field is also unlikely. The vast majority of the castings to be performed are outside the country. However, we must say that the situation is changing thanks to the National Scene of Andorra, thanks to which I could act at the TNC with a co-production.

I think there are few female roles, there are certain ages in which women play an extra role to that of the male main character. Even so, the current scene shows that it is gradually changing and allows the great stories of women to be heard.
Do you think that women are still marred in the world of interpretation?
Depending on the character to be represented, a physical or another will be necessary and in these cases it will be important to choose based on the physical one. However, I like when the character is real. There is still the problem in today's society that makes us believe that the feminine and masculine ideal is "x", and so it ends up transmitting also to the camera. I feel that little by little the problem is changing, and that in a small part we begin to notice the change.

Feminism and fashion magazines can go hand in hand? And so, feminism speaks of freedom, what you want to do and what you do not want to do. I am a feminist and therefore you choose the topics that you want and teach you how to dress yourself as you want. Although fashion magazines show trend and style, they are often with idealized size models. The real bodies must be strengthened in order to love each other as we are. Fashion is a precious tool as long as you know how to make a good use. It allows you to exteriorize how you are and how you feel.
